Pyroxenite and nepheline-pyroxene rocks coexist with dolomite-bearing calcite marbles in Tazheran Massif the area of Lake Baikal, Siberia, Russia. Pyroxenites occur a continuous elongate zone between beerbachites (metamorphosed gabbro dolerites) 5 cm to 20 m fragments among marbles. Pyroxene pyroxenite is rich calcium alumina (5–12 wt% Al2O3) has fassaite composition. The may originate from mafic subvolcanic source indicated by presence remnant dolerite found one body. This origin can be explained terms interaction crust-derived carbonatitic melts, judging mineralogy bodies their geological relations According this model, intrusion mantle melts into thick lower crust saturated fluids caused partial melting silicate-carbonate material produced carbonate carbonate-silicate melts. fassaite-bearing crystallized melt mixture which was roughly synchronous injections mafic, pyroxenitic, batches. ascending hydrous entrained that previously at temperature exceeding crystallization point carbonates. Subsequently, while whole magmatic system cooling down, became metasomatized circulating fluids, led formation assemblages garnet, melilite, scapolite.
